What is user experience?

User experience (UX) goes beyond the features of a product to take into consideration how customers use, think and feel about a product. User experience in an e-commerce context can also be used to describe how consumers engage on a website across all channels. A clear understanding of what’s important to consumers is required to create a positive user experience. While a positive user experience can contribute to improving customer experience, the two terms have unique definitions.
